The Resiliency Studio’s Ethos is Rooted in Purpose to Catalyze 'The How" of Community & Economic Opportunities Across Niche Industry Ecosystems!

The Resiliency Studio was created by Urban Design Center as a space for management and frontline leadership tasked with building capacity, enhancing impact, catalyzing innovation and scaling operations for their organizations and ventures.

The our three capacity building and professional development centers, the Resiliency Studio provides the requisite tools needed for participants to enhance their industry specific technical expertise to move their entities and ventures to the next level and to stay ahead of the curve!

Each center in the Resiliency Studio - Center for Community Excellence, Vision Builders Hub and Venture UP! - creates and shares a plethora of best practice instructional webinars, live workshops, podcast, thought leadership work groups, industry reference information and training materials in partnership with industry experts who host each of our accelerators.

Through peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and collaboration in an open and engaging environment, the Resiliency Studio is fostering acute focus on specific aspects of high growth industries that can directly impact the economic viability and sustainability of local communities.

Our Founder and
Dean of Instruction

"Onward & Upward" is her motto! 

Sherri created the Resiliency Studio to literally transfer decades of knowledge and lessons learned from her brain to a community centric platform to share with the world!

While leading housing and facility development projects through Urban Design Center and community and economic development initiatives in the City of Los Angeles, Sherri has been at the table and creating tables to ensure that the needs of the community and opportunities for local business enterprises serve as the foundation of decision making processes and the allocation of resources. 

Through the Resiliency Studio, she is creating a band of like-minded change makers and industry specialist committed to fortifying and empowering visions of community, legacy preservation and generational wealth.

David Morrison, IV

Chief technology officer, urban design center
David ensures that the online software systems operated by Urban Design Center and the Resiliency Studio operate effectively and keep our clients, partners and members connected. 

A teacher by trade, David leads our team and partner efforts to onboard new technologies for client operations.  David also works hand-in-hand with the Resiliency Studio professional development consultants to build their curriculums and structure their courses.

Darian Kincy

Darian is a Senior IT Executive, vCIO, and vCISO with a proven record of success in network development, infrastructure management, and the delivery of complex, enterprise-wide initiatives. He is a collaborative and results-driven leader with extensive experience planning and executing multi-million-dollar programs and projects within complex, matrixed organizations. Darian's expertise spans diverse industries from financial services, banking, retail, transportation and logistics, healthcare and non-profit to the professional services sectors.

Darian's core competencies include Strategic Planning, Project Management, Vendor and Contract Management, Change Management, Technology Modernization, Data Center Migration, Business Development, Consulting, Negotiation, Roadmaps, KPIs, Business Relationship Management, Service Management, Operational Excellence, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Data Privacy.
